Since I returned to the UK, I seem to have been working flat out and now it's only a matter of weeks before I go back to Australia. The sun has finally come out in rural Suffolk, spring has well and truly sprung and I have decided to get out and admire the countryside. I don't have anything against Western Australia, but it is all very modern compared to where I come from. Whenever I return to Suffolk, I look at the quaint timbered buildings and the gently rolling fields with fresh eyes. It also holds a great deal of good memories. Which brings me to the point.Today, I went to Arger Fen nature reserve, a beautiful patch of ancient woodland near the village of Assington, where at this time of year, you can see masses of bluebells. We used to go there as kids and I was always enchanted by the undulating pathways, moss covered trees and running streams. Although the Suffolk Wildlife trust has now "neatened" the place up to make it more visitor friendly, it is still a magical place to take a walk. It brought back a heap of happy thoughts. I took several pictures of the bluebells, which although they are in no way related to sewing patterns or jewellery, I thought I'd share with you....
