I have just received the advance copy of the book and I am quite chuffed with it. The styled photography has come out really well and, even though I say it myself, there is a lot of information, and so many really diverse projects, in this book.

I have included several pieces of “neckwear”. Scarves seem to be the “must-have” accessory of the moment, from skinny knits to silk prints and cotton bandanas. Lots of people have trouble knowing how to tie scarves (including me). That is why I tend to favour the shorter 30s, 40s and 50s style collars that just button in place (easy). Tucked away in the 60s chapter of the book is a “cravat” for girls which just loops over at the front. Below is a picture of one I made in blue silk, fastened with a simple vintage button brooch. It looks great worn with denim. The new book should be in the shops by October. I hope you like it. By the way, the patterns are coming along nicely….
