I have just listed the new Rural Correspondent Bag PDF sewing pattern in the Charlie’s Aunt Etsy shop and thought I would use the opportunity to write a few words for my newly re-launched blog. The Charlie’s Aunt website has also recently received an overhaul and the PDF pattern covers have been redesigned to coincide.
Now that I have moved the site to WordPress, it is possible for people to leave comments, so I hope to be able to get a bit more interaction going with a few competitions and challenges. I am also in the process of getting some vintage haberdashery packs together with buttons, ribbon and rickrack alongside a couple of new bag/purse kits. So all in all, an exciting time for Charlie’s Aunt as we go into the new season.
I think the new patterns for Indygo Junction should be available at Quilt Market in May, and I am hoping they might be out sooner. They were originally intended for release in January, but the company has held them back. Anyway, another two exciting new patterns from Charlie’s Aunt there to look forward to, and my newest clutch bag pattern should be out in PDF format by the end of May also.
I will also be using my blog over the coming weeks to write about other happenings – both amusing and work-related – so I hope you will check back often to see what’s going on. For brief updates, the Charlie’s Aunt Facebook page is still your best bet.
Before throwing myself headlong into all things patterns and press, I took a couple of days to visit the north Norfolk coast. I haven’t had the best health recently and there is nowhere better to recuperate than the wide empty beaches of Norfolk. Here is a rare picture of me (I hate having my photograph taken as I am not at all photogenic) on the beach at Holkham. Miles of sand and headspace! Bliss x
